Has it cost me anything really? There is zero evidence of this, and Microsoft has repeatedly said that this is not the case. Either you upgrade your existing Windows installation, or you can install Windows 10 from scratch. Yet there are STILL ostriches attempting to bury their heads in Win7 - or even XP.
