Curious, so I looked into the HDMI audio device - it was updated as part of the AMD driver package. I cant even start recorded tv cause it give me error something voice problem. Media Center Choppy video in Media Center but not MPCHello, Was wondering if anybody else had the problem I'm having. So I had to rename folder /appdata/local/microsoft/windows media/12.0 to 12.bak. What I do to make this work is reboot, goto BIOS, change the G33 settings (some times I set the RAM to 128MB sometimes 256MB & sometimes I change other G33 After following advice on this thread, the thing that solved the problem was to STOP running my audio over HDMI and I sent video thru HDMI and audio through Optical cable.

I was having the same decoder error in Media Centre as everyone else was describing. I would only see it when trying to play a recorded show. Not the perfect solution since I don't even know what went wrong but my search for solution on the net came often as a sound related problem.
I get that video error stating some files may be missing.
Presently if I try watching live tv or even watch previously recorded tv program all I get is: video error, Files needed to display video are not installed or are not Ironically, all quicktime videos DO appear and can be run. I get an error what says: Video error files needed to display video are not installed or not working correctly. I mark this now solved.

Hmmmm Reinstalling video codecs - no joy. If I turned off my TV, without fail the problem came back when trying to play recorded TV. your diver software!!!!!
