Thanks for your help and suggestions, also thanks to Kevinds for his. Tried turning off my AV (Avira Premium) , and restarted, but it made no difference. It takes three double clicks before message finally opens. I switched from Outlook to Windows Live because of the issues with Outlook.
I can't even write any. I saw the following, which seemed to work for many other people in that with the exact same problem. My email provider if Bell/Hotmail...I believe.... Greatful ffor advice on how to cure this irritaating litle problem.
