I did as Joe suggested, and it worked fine. It's just for Vista; I got it to work, and it managed to close the Taskbar and toolbars. I'm looking forward to hearing the answers to this one because I know of oodles of people with that issue and so am afraid to update, but at the same time I have yet to try anything else but at least I am able to navigate in that user window.
