Windows Explorer Constantly Losing Sata Disk
I have seen it disappear when in the middle of using it. So I was living as before. I also had problems with that drive, which was having weird latency issues when it had the original firmware, 1.03 I think. That happened with few months of use. Source
What worries me is that whatever caused it (failing drive?) may make the issues reappear at some point. If this is the case, you must go to your device manufacturer web site to download or request the most recent drivers for your device. What do you recommend I do at this point? My story This problem occurs also on hybrid drives. this may be your best solution. I have the original Asus Z97 Deluxe board, and I'm also running a Plextor M6e in the M.2 slot. When the SSD was originally partitioned setup displayed the type 0x73 partition as "OEM preloaded" or something similar. When there is a match within the time-out period, normal startup will proceed. But I don't understand why is 100 MB partition necessary for this. If the second hard drive is going it could cause booting issues, and would also explain why you are unable to access it.
