Nothing very resource-intensive. I've been online with two different HP techs, and they keep telling me that it is perfectly normal to see the blue spinning icon all the time. Only OneNote seems to have the problem, so my guess is that Word was trying to autosave the document 10 times/sec. Back up all your important data that you want to keep/save.

I ran a disk scan awhile back which failed a short scan.
